Peikko Group’s Norwegian subsidiary Peikko Norge AS has received a substantial order for 2.1 kilometers of DELTABEAMs to an office project named Gullfaks in Stavanger, Norway. Gullfaks is part of a larger development project named Hinna Park. The DELTABEAM deliveries will start in mid October and end in February 2015. The building will be completed in the end of 2015 and BREEAM Excellent certified.
Gullfaks comprises 17.800 m2. The architectural design has been made by Link Arkitektur AS and the construction is made by Kruse Smith AS. Block Berge Bygg supplies the precast elements. Peikko has supplied a large amount of connection items to the elements.
“Peikko has been involved in the planning of the Gullfaks very early on. In this project the advantages of DELTABEAM proved again very important. DELTABEAM enables a slim floor structure that makes the HVAC installations easy and offers excellent possibilities for flexible layout changes. As DELTABEAM has in-built fire protection, no additional fire proofing is required on site. The cantilevers of the Gullfaks building could easily be solved by equipping the DELTABEAMs with an extended bottom flange and in-built formwork to make the in-situ casting fast and easy”, states Topi Paananen, CEO of Peikko Group Corporation.
